Yeah, it's me again! I have the plasma running quite well, actually, until I hit an ellipse in the shape I am cutting. Lots of small, jerky steps. I tried putting G64 in the first line without a P- variable and I tried it with a P2 variable. I really couldn't tell any difference. I would like to see a nice, smooth output even if it is at the expense of some accuracy. Thanks for all your help in this adventure! |

| There has been a change to the development version of emc that adds arc combining.. The released version only combines line segments that are within the Px.xxxx. If you want to try it - you can get the development version (called trunk) to test it out. you would need to follow these directions.. http://wiki.linuxcnc.org/cgi-bin/emc...04_from_source sam Last edited by samco; 10-01-2008 at 12:31 PM. | AFAIK you will need the TRUNK version to take advantage of the latest improvements in the naive-cam detector for arcs. Instructions are here. http://wiki.linuxcnc.org/cgi-bi/emci...ource_with_CVS I do the run in place and point my desk top shortcut to the trunk version. If you need any help with this just holler...
