I've got a problem with my fourth axis. I can jog it as fast as I want, to the point where it starts to chatter even, but I can't get the rotation when I'm either running a program, or even using MDI to go any faster then 72 degrees/min. Five minutes is a long time to wait for it. I've gotten around this by increasing the Scale from 40 to 400, then I have to divide the degrees that I want by 10. I don't have a problem with any of the other 3 axis. When I try duplicating the settings from any other axis to the 4th, but not changing anything to do with angle vs linear, it has no effect. Is there someplace besides the inch.ini file that has anything to do with just the G program? I have looked at the other two hal files it references, looking for typos, but nothing seems amiss there. |

| 1st suggestion, put a short meaningful title on your post. This will attract the people who might know how to answer your question. gripeboxon> 2nd suggestion, everyone has a problem here so why the red flag? gripeboxoff> 3rd suggestion, join the EMC irc... And rotary axis are beyond my guesspertice so that is all I can help with... John |

| LOL, 1 - I thought a two word title with the first sentence summarizing my problem would be enough. 2. - I had a problem. I thought that's what it's for. Too bad it bothers you. 3. - irc is too newfangled. Actually the problem was in the TRAJ portion of the ini file. Bill K. |

| I'm glad you found it. I was just trying to be as helpful as I could... IMHO titles like "help" "I need help" "please advise" etc don't give much info as to the problem and many will skip over these messages. If you use firefox you can get a plugin called chatzilla that makes the old fangled IRC easy to connect to. John |
