Could someone help me setup a USB gamepad?

I've followed the wiki for the simple method and I can't get it to work.

Could someone help me? I can email my .hal files and the error file that EMC puts out.

Quick question what version of Unbuntu are you running. I did the example in 6.06...

It's the latest live CD I think its Ubuntu 8.04

I see this is an old thread, but did you gt it working? I followed the same directions, and after much cussing and head scratching managed to get it working a few days ago.

I am happy to let you know what I did if required.
I am in no way an expert and may have done it wrong but it works.

Hi John,

I will take a look tomorrow and let you know the changes I made,however I see you have already updated the wiki so you may have found what was missing, but I'll still check.
