Newbie- New Gecko drive and EMC2

Hi guys,

I'm still early in the building stage of a 3 axis gantry router and would like to use Linux/EMC2 to run it. I have EMC2 installed on a 800MHz P3 to get familiar with.

Gecko is working on some low cost drivers and will be putting a package together that sounds like it's set up for Mach3.

as long as you know which pins do what out of the printer port.. Should not be a problem.

I'm reading through old posts but I'm sure I'll have more questions when it comes time to set this up for a machine.
