Hi All, I am new beginner to EMC and have installed it without realtime (basically installed it for evaluation purpose using those command line switches for configuring the installation process) I am having some problem as I was trying to do a simple exercise that of generating some signal (sine, cosine, etc) and sending that signal as an output via parallel port which would be connected to an Oscilliscope. When I tried paralle port (loadrt hal_parport cfg="0x0378") I get the following error hal_parport: dlopen: /usr/local/lib/emc2/modules/hal_parport.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory I went to take a look at the modules directory and saw most of the files there execpt the hal_parport one which I require.. Can anyone help me out as to how to configure my EMC installation so I can use this component ? Kind Regards |

| I don't think you will find anything but a digital signal output on the parallel port even after a full install. Those signals you mentioned are available on Halscope, but I'm not sure they would be external to the program. You could get pulse trains modulated by the analog signal to appear on the port. I don't know how to do it, but I think that it's possible. Naturally, I'm a beginner as well. |
