| Has anyone used a potentiometer to control feedrate on EMC2 with closed loop servos using a Motenc-Lite card from Vital Systems? Maybe I should phrase that differently, What about feedrate override control? Paul Last edited by pauldkeeton; 10-15-2007 at 06:42 PM. |

| I've done it with a multi-function jog-wheel: http://www.anderswallin.net/2006/11/jogging-emc2/ you need to get the signal as a HAL-pin. presumably the driver for the vital board has a pin for the analog input? There's no pin for feed-override in the standard EMC motion-controller (I think), so you need to load something called Halui (HAL-user interface). Halui will create HAL pins for controlling almost everything you would control from a normal UI (like Axis). So then you wire your AD input to the feed-override and it should work. The signal might need some scaling etc. but the basic idea is very simple. AW |
