What I want to do is use a 5 1/4 floppy driver board with the floppy stepper and run it with EMC2. This is for practice so no negative vibes on the size. I want to hook it up to the parallel port. The pin outs are as follows on the floppy controller. Pin 20 > Step Pin 19 > Ground Pin 18 > Direction Pin 17 > Ground The floppy info that I have found says it needs to be pulled low to step. Can I just short pins 19 and 20 to see a step after hooking up the power? The connections to the parallel cable are they just a straight connection between the parallel port and the floppy? Thanks John |
