Just hooked some parker/compumotor drives to the existing steppers to play. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKz81fY1OjY I am actually running the optos in the drives directly from the printer port. This is just a mock up to see how it runs. I will do a complete job now that I see it works great. This is the controller that came with it. I need to fix it. really burned a mosfet. |

| I am using some parker stepper drives (step and direction) run dirctly from the printer port of a 1ghz machine. (old compaq) I have not tried the controller (EP control module) that came with it because I have not found the software yet. You still need to use a computer to run the machine. I have the 2 keys (printer port key - dongles) for gravosoft 98 and casmate but not the actuall software. It sort of turns it into a glorified printer. If I where to keep it - I wouldn't even use the ep module that came with it. The cable the plugs into the ep module unplugs from each axis under the machine (that is how I have the parker drives hooked in). It had limits and on both end of all but the z axis. very easy to convert to emc2 (or mach if you go that way ) it would give you full 3 axis motion 20"X15"X2.25" as you can see from the videos.sam |

| Would you be interested in letting go of your CASmate Pro dongle? I also am interested in any New Hermes fonts that you are not using and a CASmate manual. Thanks, - George Lawrence Storm
