A question for some more seasoned users of EMC2... I've just added limit switches and a spindle relay to my controller/machine setup, and was surprised to see that when you trigger a limit switch EMC stops motion, but dosn't turn off the spindle... Is there a way to have the limit switches disable the spindle in software, or should I be building that functionality into the hardware side of things? BTW, I'm running the Ubuntu install, V6.06, and a modified version of the sample stepper_mm settings file... |

| What EMC2 version? (Find this in Synaptic, or Help/About inside EMC) A bug like this was fixed in version 2.1.1, and if you are running an older version you should update. Changelog that lists the bugfixes in the 2.1.x series: http://cvs.linuxcnc.org/cvs/emc2/deb...g?rev=1.7.6.68 If you are running EMC 2.0.x: http://wiki.linuxcnc.org/cgi-bin/emc...?UpdatingTo2.1 If you are running 2.1.0: http://wiki.linuxcnc.org/cgi-bin/emc...tallingUpdates Last edited by cradek; 08-30-2007 at 02:00 PM.
