I am looking to use camworks with emc2 as well, but I am just getting started, worries me that there are no replies to this thread, since I need an answer for this as well.

check wiki i made a camworks post and use it on mills every day with emc running from camworks 2011

sorce file is also there by the way, so if you need to mod it you can.
i will soon mod it to make a random tool changer version with precalls

i aim to do a lathe version too but time is short right now, unless someone wants to beat me too it would be nice

for 3d milling from stl, have a look at pycam. Manuals are not ready yet but worth a look.
