    help

    Hello
I have a problem with EMC stepconfwizard
I configure my machine, the test works well, but when I seen the machine to start a window opens with this message:
    "untrusted application launcher"
    Did you encounter this problem?
    how to solve it?
    thank you and good day
    (i'm sorry for my English)

I think you mean the launcher that pops up to the desktop after stepconf finishes.
I bet you are using Ubuntu 10.04 and not the latest EMC (2.4.6)
Anyways you need to give execution permission for it to work.
Right click the launcher icon go to the permissions tab and check 'allow executing...'
This has been fixed in later versions.

You can also start EMC from the applications tab (look for cnc/emc2) and then select your configuration

    Good evening,
CHRIS thank you, was it, I did an update with 2.4.6 and it works fine except the contact pom that will not stop precisely.
An error window opens: "home switch inactive Before start of backoff move".
I do not know if this is a setting set wrong or something.
    Good evening
    Jean

    This is settings.
This can mean that the home switch needs to be inverted or that the axis is not jogging
in the right direction. AXIS displays axis movement representing the tool head, which would be the opposite of table movement.

Which axis are you talking about and what type of machine ( lathe or mill )

Hello, this is a milling machine.
I do not think the direction is reversed because the detection is still by now:
I run the command "POM"the machine moves in Z, then Y and X to finish.
it works well, but when she found the switch, sometimes it feels like bouncing it's amazing, at other parts of realse this is a very stable way and without problems.
    I tried different speed setting.

Ok I thought you meant it always errored.
Yes it could be switch bounce or electrical interference.
shielded wires has been used to help electrical interference.
Adding a debounce component or changing the switch may help the switch bounce.
