Hey Guys, does anyone know if there is a way to get the properties of the file that is loaded in to the emc to actually show the correct milling time? It seems to be way of in my experience.

| This has been talked about before. It seems to be more difficult in practice than in theory. It involves not only analyzing the gcode loaded but the setup of the machine. A machine with rapid acceleration will cut the same code more quickly than a machine with slow acceleration. Also things like following error allowance will affect cut time. Then if you add in FRO (feed rate override) it gets even more complicated. It may be able to be improved but nobody has yet volunteered to work on it. If you are interested, check in with the developers group, they welcome more volunteers. Alan
