I have built two step motor type machines. Everything works well but i have to use either keyboard or mouse in order to run the program. I have placed the following lines in the custom .HAL file: net program-run => halui.program.run net program-run <= parport.0.pin-10-in Grounding pin 10 with a pusbutton produces the following error message: "cant do that (EMC-TASK-PLAN-RUN) in manual mode" How can I make this work? Also, can I use the same switch for >program-resume< ? Thanks for any information or suggestions! Best, Boje

Thank you for your suggestion. I still dont know how to put the macine in auto mode, exept clicking on the arrow or use the keyboard >R<. Could you give me an example line to put into HAL to do this. I dont have any IN pins left. Thank you..

I would think connect your in pin to halui.auto-mode and to a one-shot timer and the one shot timer to program run. so the input sets the mode to auto and starts the timer. then the timer times out and sets program run.
