Hey folks, In the new emc the image to g-code software has been included. You can now open jpg's and other images in to emc without fuss. Or can you? I have tried it several times but have not seen any results. How long is it expected to take to open an image? More than half an hour? Anyone had any success with this?

| Sometimes running a program in a terminal returns a useful error. What happens if you paste this in a terminal ? Code: image-to-gcode $HOME/emc2/nc_files/examples/torus.png > $HOME/torus.ngc It could be a problem with the images you're using ? Post an example and I'll give it a try. No promises, I'm far from expert with this stuff.

| Hi CaptainV, Used it recently to carve images into wooden disks, the results are in my gallery, once I had the settings worked out it seemed to work without fault, even remembering the settings from one run to the next. My machine is running an old AND 1.2Ghz cpu with 512Mb ram, images were about 1200 pixels square.
