Upgrade Sodick NC 6.03 to EMC + driver board.

    Hi!
I want to replace existing CNC from Sodick (www.sodick.com), based on Windows95 and PMAC2-PC ISA as driver board from DeltaTau to
EMC + some driver board. Make upgrade to more advanced CNC. The CNC verical center has name Sodick MC450 (vintage 1999).
I have 3 axes + 1 spindel + arm + turret for 20 tools. Hence 6 (six) servo drivers are using now.
What board I need to use? I don't want to use PMAC2 from DeltaTau. Is ther any more cheaper board?
DeltaTau has G compilator in its own build in memory. EMC software use its own G-code compiler.
The main problem - connect 6 servo drivers + number of I/O to interconnect with tool's turret.
    Any advices?

    ajaxcnc? In the emc forum?

There are a bunch of boards that work with emc. Most popular is mesa and pico systems..

They both will do +/-10v servo control closed loop.

the 5i20 mesa board (aprox $200us) has 72i/o. There is a bunch of daughter boards to control servos and such.

I do not know much about the pico systems hardware. Both mesa and pico systems are active on this board.
