I am looking for a small self-contained ball-screw or similarly powerful linear actuator mechanism. I would prefer if it were powered by either a 9V battery or AA's for the prototype but after that I will probably move onto something with a bit more juice. My needs are for a good amount of power and low linear speed. The power will be divided by 13-16 depending on the length of the lever arm, hence the need for excess power. The dimensions I would like are 2 to 6 inches long by 1 to 3 inches in the diameter. I would also like it to weigh as little as possible but realize with a self-contained unit its not going to be feather-light. Also of note is that in the end this mechanism will be covered with a guard so that needs to be kept in mind when it comes to designing dimensions.

| Do you mean something like this? http://www.anaheimautomation.com/pro...ist.php?cID=52 While not ball screws they are very smooth moving. |
