| I have an interesting problem. I want to program, using Siemens 840D, a spiral motion. The idea is to sync the X and C axis, x will make a linear path, while the c axis will rotate under the tool. Because this is a milling machine, I need to have a constant feedrate/minute. Fgroup should enable the control to compensate for longer/shorter path in c axis, as the tool is moved in the x axis. But, how do I write the code for this motion? Siemens, tell me that Involute programming is the answer, but haven't given an example of program code. Has anybody done this, with Siemens, or with Fanuc? Or just the math, will be useful. Thanks |
