| I am in the process of designing my own CnC Plasma Cutting Table, starting with a 4x4 table that could be expanded to 4x8'. For a small shop table aimed at general cutting and some art work, is it worth going to Linear rails vs. V-Bearing Rollers and Rails, and also Ball Screws over rack and pinion. Initial estimates of the 4x4' table (ex. controls/motors) at ~$2,500 with v-bearing and rack/pinion. The linear rails and ball screws could add an additional $1,000 - $1,500. |
