Can the same resolution be achieved by using
  1. Chain and sprocket,
  2. Timing belt,
  3. Acme screw,
  4. Ground ball screw,
  5. Rolled ball screw,
    Rack & pinion
all other things being equal? I realize that repeatability, efficiency, torque, wear and tare won’t be the same.
