A newbie here with a question. Designing a router (60"X 36"Y), which I want to drive w/ belt. Is there somewhere that I can get information, or where there is a calculator to determine the components needed. Hopefully I've supplied enough info for an answer. |

| Hi - welcome to cnczone. Brecoflex.com. Everything and more about belts, parts and drive approaches. My suggestion - AT-10 belt x 25mm side. Pulleys to match the belt specs. Their web site and catalogs are amazing - almost too much. I have been goofing around with a DIY build - still in progress. It is in the build logs - not much to see, but lots of parts info. Take care, Harry

Hi, I was curious if anyone has experience with these guys (polytech) http://www.polytechdesign.com/ The reason I ask, is that the last time I was quoted AT-10 x 25mm wide belt, it was about $ 10 - 12 / linear foot. These guys are listing it at $ 4 / foot.

| Hi, I have always found http://www.sdp-si.com/ to be very good, and they seem to stock every imaginable Belt and pulley you could ever want. THey have some great info, and their calculator, pretty much does the work when it comes to determining what belt you need, given a pitch width etc. It then points you directly to the part you need: http://www.sdp-si.com/Cd/default.htm For a good description of setting up the machine with belts/ratios etc, the mach3 manual does a good job at that. So between the two, and the resources posted to this thread, you should have everything you need. Send us a pic and we can help further if you still have questions....

| Hi - Thanks for the link. I checked again at SPD, and while they are a good resource, they don't carry AT 10 belt, and do not appear to go as wide as 25mm wide in any belt type.
