Hello guys, I`ve bought 3 new kuroda c3 ballscrews on ebay and there covered with the grease from the factory, in the datasheet is told that i should use a difrerent lubrication. How do i clean the ballscrews and get the thick grease off ??? Also would like to get the grease out off the nut. Cann i use brake cleaner or something, is it to agressive for the seal. What should i use for grease or oil when its clean?? regards, Roy B |

| Hi Roy ![]() I use white spirits to clean them - I don't know whether the brake cleaner would be ok or not. Is there definitely grease in the nut? That could be a pain to clean out, hopefully it isn't critical to clean it out completely. Here's the NSK grease guidelines - they should be comparable. I'll see if I can find the grease quantity guide - I was reading it a day or two ago, but can't recall where now ![]() Best regards, Jason Ps - found some other instructions, they helpfully say 'Wipe with thin rags...' |
