Replacement balls are available in .0001" increments. How do you decide what size to order ? At ~$12 plus shipping per set, to much guessing could get expensive
Current backlash is .008"

Why does a screw that appears to be 4 tpi move half an inch/rev ? The ballscrew has a red label marked "Warner Electric" and has 2 ball return guides, one on each side of the screw.

The pitch is .25 but the lead is .5

Pitch is distance between adjacent threads, lead is distance travelled in one revolution; it is actually a 2tpi (turns per inch) screw.

Figured it out with a felt marker (but not fast enough ),

Taking a closer look at things the backlash varies between .008" and nearly 0 depending on where it's measured. This screw is for the garbage.

Still curious if there's a rule of thumb when buying oversize balls .
