Replacement balls are available in .0001" increments. How do you decide what size to order ? At ~$12 plus shipping per set, to much guessing could get expensive ![]() Current backlash is .008" Why does a screw that appears to be 4 tpi move half an inch/rev ? The ballscrew has a red label marked "Warner Electric" and has 2 ball return guides, one on each side of the screw.

| The pitch is .25 but the lead is .5 Pitch is distance between adjacent threads, lead is distance travelled in one revolution; it is actually a 2tpi (turns per inch) screw.

| Taking a closer look at things the backlash varies between .008" and nearly 0 depending on where it's measured. This screw is for the garbage. Still curious if there's a rule of thumb when buying oversize balls . No bad jokes or puns please
