I just bought some linear rail, bearings, ball screws, end bearings and right angle transmissions. The rails are THK, 2 just over 8 ft and 2 just over 6 ft with 2 bearings each, I think it's an old profile but they seem in OK shape. The ball screws are big, about 1.25 " dia (32 mm ?) and the screw pitch is about 15/16. There are 3 double AC bearing end blocks, one on each screw. Two of the ballscrews terminate in gearboxes on the drive end, and the third to a cogged belt drive. Got the whole of it (about 350 lbs) for $100. Does this seem reasonable for this sort of stuff? |
