Mounting open slide bushings.

I am building a mod on the Solsylva 24x24 machine. As I am a bit of a mechanical yutz, I am going to use commercial (used) slide bearings instead of skate bearings and black pipe.

I just bought a set of 2 Nippon Bearing linear slides with SW12G open slide bushings and a WA 12, fully supported base.

I expected to be able to get a housing for the bearings that would allow me to connect them to the gantry. Alas, I cannot find housings without bearings already in them.

So, what is the proper way to connect these bearings to a gantry? Do I need to create a custom fixture or am not looking in the right places for the housing?
