Hello all and thanks Swede! I've read Swedes post on ball screw and I've found a supplier in Holland that sales C7 grade rolled ball screws. I'm wondering how sufficient this is for my hot wire project also I'm thinking of builing a small router which I'll be using mostly for plastic and wood and maybe for making simple foam molds for metal casting. As Swede mentioned many design factors will ultimatly decide the overall machine performance. But is C7 anywhere close to the accuracy that I will need? One thing that I'm not so happy about is that the supplier offers a minimum of 5mm lead, bringing the resolution down. If anyone knows a good and cheap supplier in EU, preferably as close to Sweden as possible, I'de be happy to know... Thanks in advance Javidan. |
