Hi, I have an application where I am spinning a ball screw nut and the screw translates without rotating. Now I am dealing with a high load (10000lbs) acting on the screw (axially) and back driving is an issue. I am wondering if a product exists that fits on the screw and allows the screw to translate while the nut rotates but prevents the screw from rotating when the nut is stationary (while under load). I realize you can just place a guide on the end of the screw to prevent rotation but allow translation, I'm just wondering if anything more compact exists out there. Thanks, Ed |
