Teflon ( PTFE ) Nut for CNC... Any reviews?

Hello everyone,

Im considering on make my cnc some teflon nuts, I know they work but i wanted to know if they last long... I will use acme screw... Did anyone use one for a while and want to share taughts about it?

I know there is different kinds of Teflon, i was thinking on use with bronze or with graphite... I don't know witch one is the ideal one...The virgin one i know its too soft, but still ive seen some people use em on nuts... I dont know about the lifetime of a telfon nut...

Me using virgin teflon nuts almost a year getting no problem at all...

Do you use the cnc a lot? How much?

Are you using on acme screw or just regular threaded rod?

ACME.. and use my CNC not commercial basis..

I think a nut made from UHMW PE would outlast a teflon nut by far. It is cheaper as well.
