Hello. I am new to this forum and am hoping someone can help me. I work in a microbrewery and TRY to do all the maintenance that is asked of me but this is beyond my capabilities. We have a used bottle labeler that came with no paperwork. It has a MAE stepper motor that I believe is bad but I don't know how it is supposed to act. It ran fine for a few years. It seems to have good torque and runs smooth until I hook it up to the belt drive and then it stutters. Everything it drives turn smoothly and are not stuck. Anyway, my question is, what is this motor? How do I break down the #s to replace it. As best I can tell, it is no longer a current model. The only thing written on the label is - MAE HY200 3450 0350 AX08 it also has A35171. Can anyone please tell me what the specs or what would be a correct replacement for this motor? Thanks for your time and any help, and HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY NEW YEAR! Karl. |

| The HY200 series are wide spread and very common. Google on "HY200 3450" One hit from this site: Stepper ID help please. Another one: http://www.servotrade.it/en/promozio...id_prodotto=62 You should be able to find these quite easily, second hand, Ebay ... But I doubt that the motor is defective unless it has really overheated or a mechanical problem: bearings..... I would first check the driver and the power supply. Regards, Luc. |

| Thanks for your help, but, IF it were a bad motor, are you saying that the first 9 digits are the IDing digits? Will any MAE motor starting with "HY200 3450" replace mine? Again, this long # is the only thing I have to go by. Thanks again, Karl. |
