I have a pair of THK stainless steel rails and no blocks.Is it OK to use regular steel blocks on the rail?I would guess SS blocks are very pricy.What are the advantages and disadvantages of the SS rail and blocks?Is the load life reduced with SS?Does the SS system have lower load Ratings?

Larry, The THK online documentation includes SS as the letter "M" in their part numbers. When looking at the specs, the SS pieces show no difference in specs.

As far as benefits, obviously corrosion resistance and maybe not magnetic.

Hi Larry,
You can mix regular steel block with SS rails.

As for load I suggest you take a look at matweb.com you will be able to find the spacs for the SS rails you have.
