Need the name of this screw.

I need the headless allen screw that is use for LOVEJOY couplings. Can anyone tell me what its call and where I may get some? Ebay preferably. Thanks.

socket set screw/allen set screw. Your local Hardware store or home center.

Visit any place that repairs or uses machinery in your local area. Anything from washing machines to wagons to cars or trucks.

I have even made my own before. Just cut off a screw with the same thread and cut a slot in the end. Works in a pinch.

I just use the generic "Set Screw" to describe these things.


I have even just used a screw and tightened it up, then cut it off. To remove, just drill a small hole and use an easy out.

Thanks guys. I found some on ebay. Will be grabbing those. Very cheap and lots of selection to choose from. They come in a box of 200 pieces of varying sizes.
