| Not a stupid question. The fittings on the hiwins are those weird hex shaped things. I find it easier just to get new standard grease fittings from McMaster that fit the Hiwin's threads. As for the grease, I use Mobil 1 Synthetic, a red #2 viscosity grease found at hardware stores. High speed guides might require a more specific grease formulated for linear bearings, but if you're only in the 300-1500 ipm range, it shouldn't matter. |
