Need help building a table for a horizontal mortiser that i purchased at an auction. The table needs to be heavy duty, and move on one axis on the dovetail ways shown. I had the idea of using some low carbon flat steel as the table and tapping and screwing parts on to it. Table size is 3/4 x 24 x 12. Where I live (Glenwood Springs CO) there are no machine shops in the area. Any hobbist in my area want to take on a project? I couldnt figure out how to post my pictures, but I'll work on it.  |
