The last post was very confusing to me and not so conclusive an answer. So here's my question. I want to put two 30 lb.shocks, one on each side of my square column. Do I get 60 lbs of lift out of this or just 30 lbs.? This is for a manual machine. Just need some resistance so I can use the head without it falling to the table. |

| Two side by side give you 60, the two shocks add together. Think about it this way; You can lift 100 lbs, it would need two of you side by side to lift 200. Get a few bungee cords and experiment; they extend not compress but the priciple is the same.
