worth checking
Hi
I need to change my X axis reduction to 4.7:1. The ratio works out
to a 72 and a 15 tooth HTD timing pulley. I`m wondering if the pulley
is too small to bore out to 1/2 for my servo shaft. Also..I`ll take a
guess that there isn`t much tooth engagment with a 15 tooth. It seems
the HTD series only goes to 72 teeth. Does someone know of a source
for a different class of timing pulley that goes higher then 72 teeth.

Here is an outfit that has HTD pulleys up to 192 grooves, might have what you want.

If you need a very high gear reduction, it might be worthwhile to consider a worm gear arrangement. boston gear.
