| I made the mistake of ordering 2 acme rods from Enco. They were both packed in the same cardboard tube, with no packing material to keep them from bumping together during the long UPS ride... I can safely say that they are not hardened, judging from the burrs and dings. An easy test is to run a file over the end of the rod. If it can be filed easily, it can be machined easily. |
