Ball screw condition

Hi all,

I have here some pics of a used ballscrew.
According to the seller, it has not been used mucb and should be quite new. But from what I see it seems like it has been totally worn out.
It even looks like if it has been loaded with too small balls.
Could I have some opinions on this please?

Btw, this is, or at least should be, an nsk precision ground screw..

The screw only holds half the balls; the nut holds the other half. the small groove at the bottom is for grease overflow. The balls should be riding in the larger groove.

Yes, well it is this grooves wich I was worying about. So this is normal?
I have never seen this before..
Does this screw seems to be in condition than? at least visually?

Yes, this screw appears to be in great shape.

Agreed, it appears to be very nice in the photos.

If you're a skeptic, look at the screw's ball races under a microscope or a high power magnifying glass. They should be very smooth.
