I was able to great a really nice precision THK linear slide with a 6mm ball screw and 8 inchs of travel for my Z axis on my Plasma. Now I need to couple a 1/4" shaft nema 23 300oz stepper to the 6mm shaft. Any suggestions on what coupler to use? The 6mm shaft doesnt have a flat spot so I need a clamp type coupler. Obviously I want virtually zero backlash to keep the Z axis as precise as possible but allow a slight bit of misalignment in the coupler. Thanks, Mike |
