I work with a 12 station CNC Turret Lathe. It is a brand new Harding Talent 8/52. Last week I crashed it in the Z Direction. Monday I will be attempting to realign the turret. I asked a tech rep how to do it over the phone. The process sounds pretty basic if I understand it corretly. Having never realigned a turret I'm trying to vizualize the process. The first step he said was to check the Z axis by running an indicator along the OD of the turret plate with is a bout 2 inches. There are 4 bolts on the back side of the turret plate to tweek this in. The second step is to check the x axis by running an inndicator along the face of the turret plate........there are eight bolts holding the turret assembly to the slide? Loosen bolts, knock it around till it is realigned........ Any advice before I tare into it would be appreciated. adamant |
