| Thanks. I see a lot of round bearings on EBay. If you were to build some of those blocks would you epoxy the bearings in it? I see in the pic you posted they appear to have steel spring retainers (or whatever you call them). Seems like it would be very difficult to machine the exact sized grooves in the block at exactly the right place. BobL. |

By the way... how are you supporting your rails? Are you buying pre-drilled bars and T-shaped extrusion or are you planning to drill/tap the bars yourself? Lastly, never mention the word "epoxy" again on this forum unless you're talking about gluing together two pieces of wood. Thanks. |

| Yes, they are all over E-Bay. Price ranges are dramatic. Last week I saw 1" open bearings .........some were $79 for one. I lucked out and won 2 auctions, each has two bearings 1" open cast iron mount. I got all four delivered to my house for a total of $66. That's a good deal. |
