Looking for source for compatible THK LR rails

I'm looking for a source to buy compaible THK LR type rails.

I have THK HSR-35 HB 1 SS bearings.

Is there a website that sells actual THK LR and compatible rails?

Thanks for the link.

I didn't realize until now how great a deal I got on my THK components on Ebay.
I won 8 THK HSR35 blocks and 1, 99" rail for only $345.

A single 80" rail at the website you mentioned sells for more than $300.

I'm now looking for a source that sells rails that are compatible to THK rails. I'm hoping that they might be priced lower than the originals.

Any ideas?

Hiwin rails and blocks are 1/2 the price of thk's www.automation4less.com
There are interchange charts between the major manfactures,but this is not for mixing different parts.The charts are for similar performance not direct compatibitily
Simply put THK blocks on THK rails. Hiwin blocks on Hiwin rail.No such thing as aftermarket rails for your blocks.

Thank you to everybody who responed so far.

It looks like Hiwin has a interchangeable rail for my THK HSR35 blocks. They are about $100 cheaper than the original THK rails.

I'm pretty confident that the Hiwin rails will perform identical to THK.

Anybody care to comment?

I just reread Larry's message anld now know that I should not mix rails and blocks.

I will keep a eye out on Ebay for some THK rails.

Rod, your assessment in your last post is correct. THKs and Hiwins are only DIMENSIONALLY interchangeable. That is, rail bolt spacing, block PLUS rail height, and block bolt pattern. Everything else is proprietary and unique.

My advice: cut down that long rail for Y and Z axes. Find a different set for your X. This is a good lesson for other ebay rail hunters out there... ALWAYS BUY IN PAIRS.

Thanks, I always intended to cut the single 99" rail down to size.

Anybody know the best way to cut THK rails? I have a metal band saw with a bi-metal blade and cooling system. I heard that the only way to cut it is with a "blue stone"???

Soon after starting this thread I sent a email to Hiwin and now it's confirmed.

Rod - unfortunately, the rails and blocks are interchangeable
dimensionally
only as a set. A Hiwin block will not fit on a THK rail and vice
versa.
