I need to know how many seconds it will take an Acme nut to travel 48 inches along an Acme 3/4-6 lead screw at 43 rpm. I'm a painter, not an engineer (obviously), but I'm pretty good at building stuff. Thanks for your help,

6 threads per inch means 6 r's per inch.

So 43 rpm / 6 = 7.166... inches per minute

48 inches / 7.166 ipm = 6.698 minutes

all figures are founded to a few decimal places.

Thanks, you just helped save me from buying the wrong gearmotor! Now I know which one to get.
