Hello all, extreme NEwb here. I have recently been GIVEN! a 3 Axis demo. It has 3 Yaskawa ac amps and sgm motors hooked upto a Galil 730. How can I turn this into a cnc? Via PC? Is ther software? Any help appreciated |

| The DMC-700 series is on the Galil obsolete list, so i don't think you will find any software that will give you any kind of user interface, apart from the Terminal from Galil. AFAIK there never was anything else for this control. Although a fairly powerfull controller, it is never-the-less a stand-alone unit. Programmed using the Galil native language code. It's primarily intended to download programs though the serial port and set into run. Operator interface should be possible with a display like Maple Systems etc. But not easily set up as a typical CNC controller. Al.
