hello all I have step motor 4 Amp 1.8 deg gecko drive 201 ball scrow 1 turn= 2" movement ....................... I try to make a 2mx2m cnc router ... lettle big ![]() the quistion i s what is the good rate of gear in betoween step motor and ball/scrow ... to optain good speed without step-loss in movement up to now.. and for no load .. I could run the motor as maximum speed as 600 rpm only...... at 60 volt 3.5 amp adjust at the drive.. any help.. ??? thanks |

| How much torque does the stepper have? What's the steppers rated voltage? What's the diameter of the screw? How much weight are you moving. For a ballpark figure, I'd say 4:1, so 1 turn of the motor = 1/2" of movement
