Palmgren Cross-Slide Table Quality?

I was wondering about the quality of the Palmgren cross slide milling table. I have seen the Enco style ones and know of their poor lead screw quality and was wondering if the Palmgren was the same. The price of the Palmgren compared to the Enco would suggest its not. It would nice to be able to just buy a table and not have to modify it to get any kind of accuracy and was hoping the Palmgren unit would do that. Any comments would be appreciated.

Yeah I was wondering the same thing. I have the Enco styled one (actually from Grizzly), there is slop in the lead screws but its not too bad. And I,ve seen some designs for anti backlash nuts that I want to try out. But yeah I too would like to know the quality of the Palmgren tables.

I'm late to this thread but in case... I have one and it has almost no backlash, fits very nicely. I got it for a project but ended up needing something longer so I just bought a small mill. I don't need the Palmgren table anymore. Cost a fortune from msc, with a clamp set. I'm going to sell it, you can PM me if you are looking for one.

I have one and don't feel it is much better than Enco. Sure it is a little better but not enough to justify the money.
