    Lead screw who?

Hi, I'm getting ready to make my first CNC mill from scratch, and was hoping to learn where to go for the best quality, and highest precision anti backlash lead screw assembly available. I'm looking to use a lead screw assembly with a Max lead of .100" I don't need high speed, High resolution, and precision first. Any recommendations for the best?

    Thank you, Dennis

For ball screws I have had good success with NSK, Steinmeyer, Kuroda for precision ground lead screws I have used Universal Thread Grinding for small strokes.

Buying Is For Softies! I Have Almost Finished Building My Own Ballscrew. 30mm Screw, 6mm Balls, 15mm Pitch. Hardened And Re-machined. I Know Its Not Worth Re-inventing The Wheel But I Did It For My Own Satisfaction (plus I Work For The Government - So It Didn't Cost Me Anything! He! He! He! Shhhh!)
On the other hand, You have different fingers.
