| Hi, I'm looking for ACME screw and the only goor solution I found for now is 3/8-10 screws (bigger= a lot more expansive. It will be for a 18*12 table (moving table so about 24 in max unsupported span). I just wondered if those screws are big enough not to flex and whip too much. I don't plan to do very rapid work so I wont spin them at 1000 RPM or domething like that. If tou think it will flex too much, what would be an acceptable span? Thanks a lot |

| Check MSC for keystone Acme screws, they are a lot cheaper than most other places. The 3/8 are IMHO a little on the small side for a 24 inch span, althought they will work.
