hi, I'm trying to fond decent quality ACME screws and anti-backlash nuts. McMaster-Carr sells '' Wear compensating precision ACME nuts (6350K61). I don't understand if they are anti-backlash. If not, where can I find not too expansive anti-backlash nuts. Thanks |

| Yes as long as you dont go over the load ratings, which are pretty low.

| I'm wondering if I should use Dumpster's nuts or McMaster's. Do you guy have experience with either of those. What do you think? Is the Macmaster nut really any better than Dumpster's one for a small 12 by 18 in wood router? Also, I is it possible that I go over the limit force (25pound) on a small 18 by 12 in wood router with 250 oz/in motors? Last edited by CnC_BoY; 03-20-2006 at 07:02 PM. |

| Those Mcmaster nuts fit those $100 screws. I'd get 1/2-8 2 start from MSC for $30 for 6ft, and the dumpster nuts. I've seen them, they're nice. 250oz motors can give you around 150-200lbs of force at slow speeds.
