Red face Screw, Bearing, Motor assembly (Nook)

This may not be new to anyone but check out the site. There are complete systems including bearing blocks with integral motor mounts. Could speed things up for many of us.

    Nook suppliers

Go to their site www.nookindustries.com. Here are some distributors: Applied Industrial Technologies, Bearing Distributors Incorporated, Kaman IdustrialTechnologies, Motion Industries, SunSource. We are going to use one of these systems(screw, nut, bearing, motor) to replace a 3" hydraulic servo cylinder system for oscillating motion.

McMaster-Carr has better prices on Nook than Nook does

McMaster-Carr buys in quantity and offers a lower price.

    WayneHill,
I think McMaster sell Thomson screws. I believe Nook has polished screw which can be more precise. Have you bought ballscrew from them?

It's not only that the screws are polished, it is that they are ground instead of rolled that gives them more accuracy.
