I already used a BWV dual vee setup however it is not stiff enough in torsion. whick affects the y-axis linearity. I would like to add a rod bearing to the gantry. I think it would stifen the frame nicely. I am concerned on how much span can be had. what diameter should i use? I am spanning a 6' area supported of course on the ends. Again, there is a supported bearing already but this one in order for it to fit on the existing insatallation must be a free span. recommendations appreciated, AKFALAR |

| Do you have any pictures. Sound like whatever your DualVees are mounted to isn't stiff enough.

Looking at your pictures, it looks to me like that plate the V's are mounted to isn't attached to the beam nearly secure enough to eliminate racking. The plate itself is/ was probably flexing, too. jmo, though.
