    Need advise to calibrate...

Hi, I am really new here!

Please... may some of you help me to calibrate my homemade machine?

    Next is what I have:

    X Axis (2 Motors)

    2- 1/2"-10 Acme Threaded Rod, 1/2" Travel/Turn, Right-Hand Thread, 5 Starts
    2- HT23-280-8 Stepper Motor, 280 Ozln, 1.8 deg/200 Steps/Rev
    2- SideSteps Drivers (Full, 1/2, 1/4, & 8th microstepping Resolution)

    Y axis

    - 3/8"-12 Acme Threaded Rod, Right-Hand Thread, 1 Start
    - HT23-400-8 Stepper Motor, 400 Ozln, 1.8 deg/200 Steps/Rev
    - SideSteps Drivers (Full, 1/2, 1/4, & 8th microstepping Resolution)

    Z axis

    - 3/8"-12 Acme Threaded Rod, Right-Hand Thread, 1 Start
    - HT23-400-8 Stepper Motor, 400 Ozln, 1.8 deg/200 Steps/Rev
    - SideSteps Drivers (Full, 1/2, 1/4, & 8th microstepping Resolution)

    Questions:

1.- Motor Tuning Configuration for each. ?
2.- Whats the best Microstepping Resolution for each?

I will really apreciate your help, thanks!

    Frank

Multiply your number of turns per inch by 20 (steps per motor rev) by your microstepping factor.
